The Oswego Heritage House Museum serves as an historic resource and focal point for our local history.
Oswego Heritage's permanent history exhibit begins with an introduction to local Native American history and continues around the room, bringing you to Oswego's more current history. There are revolving exhibits that focus on aspects of Oswego Heritage Council's research throughout the year. |
At the Oswego Heritage House, you will find an introduction to the historical and cultural sites of our beautiful city, Lake Oswego. We encourage you to visit the Historic Rose Garden on the east side of our house and view a replica of an iron ore cart from when Oswego was "Pittsburgh of the West." The ore cart was donated to the Oswego Heritage Council by a local Boy Scout as his Eagle Scout project.
The Oswego Heritage Council was thrilled to be honored by City Council and Historic Resources Advisory Board on May 2, 2017, with their highest honor, The Preservation Merit Award, for the redesign of the Oswego Heritage Museum.
